!!!Pledge Cards and Service of Dedication- This Sunday!!!
This Sunday (November, 24th) is our service of Dedication. During this service we will offer our pledges for the upcoming year to God with praise and thanksgiving. Therefore, please remember to bring both sections of your pledge cards with you to Church this Sunday.
Here is how the service of Dedication will work just to give you an idea of what to expect.
- Your pledge card has two parts. Fill both parts out and then detach the card. Put the large portion of the card in a sealed unmarked envelope. Bring both it and the smaller part of the card with you to church this Sunday
- On Sunday drop the smaller portion of the Card in the offering plate (remember do not sign this small part of the card).
- Keep the larger portion which is in the unmarked envelope with you. After church we will offer these to the Lord in our service of Dedication.
- Immediately after worship (before fellowship time) we will hold our service of Dedication on the front porch.
I encourage each of you to prepare your heart this week with prayer, Scripture, and reflection. Then come to God’s house on Sunday with a renewed sense of excitement and expectation about what our heavenly Father is doing in our midst.
Also, please note: If you do not have a pledge card, there is a copy that you can print out in the first attachment to this newsletter.
Or you may download a copy from the All Saints Website. The button for the Pledge Card download is found in the right hand column of the Resources Page under Forms. You will be prompted to save the form to your computer. Here is the LINK
Pledge Card Instructions
The Pledge Cards have two sections. The first section is your pledge and commitment to God.
- After prayerful consideration of God’s will for your giving, fill this card out and detach it.
- Place it in an unmarked envelope and bring it to church with you on Thanksgiving Sunday, November 24th.
No one is to see your pledge. It is a promise between you and God. We will offer our pledges to God in a service of thanksgiving and dedication on the 24th.
The other portion of the card (the smaller section) will simply have the amount you have pledged. It will have no indication of who made the pledge. Please do not put your name on this part of the card.
- You will need to bring this portion of the card with you on the 24th as well.
- You will place it in the offering plate.
The purpose of this portion of the pledge card is to allow our church to set its budget. Thus while no one will know who has pledged what, we will still have an idea of what the church as a whole is pledging to give. As such, we will be able to set our budget accordingly.
I cannot stress what a joyous and important time this is in the life of our parish. As we seek God’s blessings for the future, a large part of our preparation will be to make sure that we are being faithful stewards of the blessings that God has already given us.
2025 Pledge Cards- First Attachment
The pledge cards for the upcoming year are in the first attachment to this edition of the newsletter. You can print off the card, fill it out, and bring it to church on November 24th for our service of dedication.
Women’s Meeting Minutes- 2nd Attachment
Ladies, the minutes from our Women of the Church meeting are in the second attachment to this edition of the newsletter. You may download them starting…….(wait for it)…….now!
4th Quarter Mission- Transportation Ministry
As most of you know, Nancy and Billy Irwin, members of our church, are visually impaired. Therefore, they have to Uber to church. However, Ubering back and forth from the Easley-Anderson area is expensive. Therefore, our 4th quarter mission is to raise money to offset this expense and possibly enable them to be at church more weeks each month.
If you would like to donate to this cause, there is a large blueish container on the mission table in the parish hall in which to place your donations (it’s a big old water cooler jug- because we are being optimistic). In addition to cash donations, you can write a check and place it in the offering plate. Just remember to write “4th Quarter Mission” on the “for” line of the check. We also encourage people to bring any spare change they have collected during the course of each week.
Sunday School- Part II
Part II of our Adult/Confirmation/New Members Sunday School Class is underway, so now is a great time to jump in. Part II of the class covers our Sunday Morning Eucharistic Service, explaining what we are doing and why we are doing it at every step of the service- from the ringing of the bell at the start of the service to the closing prayer. I encourage everyone to attend this class, even if you have already been through it with us before. All are welcome! Plan to join us and have your Sunday morning worship enriched.
